I noticed that lunch vouchers can also be purchased for children. What are the age ranges? I have a 12 y.o. daughter & was wondering if she is still considered a child. Each restaurant varies when we dine out at home. Also, does the voucher also include appetizer, entree, dessert and drink. I assume the entree is off of the kids menu but how about the other components? Can someone with experience help. Thanks!

12 is considered an adult by disney dining standards.
You do get the appetizer, entree, drink and dessert with the child's voucher. Children must order from the children's menu where available. The appetizer, comes off of the adult menu because they don't have children's appetizer menus (or they didn't anywhere we used them), some places have children's dessert menus (RFC) and the children are supposed to order from there. I have heard that Le Cellier does not interpret the voucher properly and will not let patrons use the children's voucher for anything except an entree. If they refuse it is not a good deal or even a breakeven so just pay cash for the child's meal.

We tried at Le Cellier and they would not let my 6yo have an appetizer. At that point we paid cash. We also used them at RFC, Concourse Steakhouse, and San Angel and found them to be a good bargain.

They wouldn't let your child get an appitizer? I swear it says "appitizer" even on the kids vouchers. Please elaborate for the rest of us. That seems strange on the restaurants part.

I bought 3 breakfast vouchers for us to eat at Donald's breakfastasaurus. DS was 12 at the time, but he is very tall. We always have to ask for a kids menu for him and sometimes we get really strange looks. When we got the bill at DB, we were charged for 2 adults and 1 child. I saved one voucher and paid cash for DS meal. So, it all depends on what server you get. ;)

We were there in December, and our server said she couldn't have an appetizer just a kids meal. I had her check with the mgr and he agreed. I was really not in the mood to challenge it but I am not sure even if I did, that they would have allowed it?

I just copied this right from the Connections web site:
Lunch includes one appetizer, one entrée, one dessert and a non-alcoholic beverage. This is what it says for the child's Lunch Voucher.

Hope this helps!:D

could someone PLEASE give the the website for connections??? PLEASE?!?!? THANK YOU!

At the end of August last year, my sister used a child's lunch voucher at the Concourse Steak House on two different lunches. On the first time, the server would not permit an appetizer for the kids (and wouldn't permit bottled water for the drink for anyone). The second time my sister went back, the server did permit an appetizer for the kids and bottled water for the drink (and just about anything else they wanted :) ).
Our experience with the vouchers is there does seem to be a variance in the process depending on who you get as a server. It helps if you think about it ahead of time, so that you have a recovery plan (such as ordering the child's meal on a cash basis or whatever).
We had great fun using the lunch vouchers with 2 teenage boys this past New Years. The boys really enjoyed ordering anything on the menu (and they can really pack away the groceries!).
