Connection times?

I'm looking at the following indirect flights via Newark - do you think there's enough lee-way for the connections? I guess I am most worried about the "coming home" in case there aren't any other flights from Newark that night!

OUTBOUND: Arrive 1.25pm/Depart 3.20pm
INBOUND: Arrive 7.13pm/Depart 8.55pm

1hr 55 min out, 1hr 42 min in.
More than enough. I accept anything over 1hr 30min out and 1hr in.
One I just booked for May I had an option for a 50 min inbound, I declined and went for longer but airline would have let me take it.

We've got 2hrs 50min going out and 2hrs coming back.

We opted for the longer connection time going out but the shortest connection time we could get coming back.

My Mom was fretting about a shorter connection time going out (similar to yours) so it was easier to keep her happy!

I totally agree that going out you should allow for a longer connection time to ensure that you change terminals, collect your luggage, get through immigration and recheck baggage, get through security in time! It's a lot to do but is all very well organised! We only ever fly through Newark and have never (touchwood) had a problem.

Coming back though you don't need to have so long as you check your bags at Orlando and they get transfered through the whole journey straigh away - which I must say is so much better, also you fly into the terminal that you will be departing from so there is no running though the airport, just find your gate and you are set!

We are flying from Birmingham again on 5th January with Continental, We really enjoy it as you can have a rest, stretch your legs and grab some food before you connect.
