What are the chances that we will get connecting rooms if we request. We have 4 children 6 and under? Is there any resort that would be more likely to do this? We really are thinking of AKL. We are currently booked in a 1 bedroom suite but it doesn't guarantee savanah view. But I am wondering if it is worth it to risk not getting connecting rooms.

Thanks

It depends on the number of adults. If you have one or two adults with a number of children staying between two rooms, then a connecting room can be guaranteed via special request. Contact the reservation center for more info.

However if you have more adults, the connecting room request will be just that, and will be subject to what's available at your resort.

When we booked the suite I had asked if we could guarantee a connected room. There is 2 adults and the 4 children. At that time we were told no. I just didn't want it to ruin the vacation if we weren't close. I am now thinking that we could save alot money if we took 2 rooms.

That doesn't sound quite right to me... you might want to call back and see if you get a different answer. I would emphasize that point that you have several small children and only two adults.

Good luck!

We have had guaranteed connecting rooms and got connecting rooms both times. Once at POP and once at All Star Music. We have 6 kids, all were 12 and under on both trips. We have guaranteed connecting rooms for Sept. and I am not worried that we won't get them.

I have read on these boards from others who have NOT gotten connecting rooms. Our stay at All Star Music was in mid May 2006 and our POP stay was in Sept. 2007. I don't think either of those dates are peak times so I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Good luck!

Technically, they could be placed in 2 rooms that don't connect. An adult could be placed in each room, so in theory a connecting room is not a necessity.

Many people post that they have "guaranteed connecting" rooms, but in reality they are NOT guaranteed. Your room assignment is not set in stone until you check in. No matter what you are told by a CM. The only way to be absolutely guaranteed connecting rooms is to have, for example, only 1 adult with 4 kids or more. Most likely you WILL get connecting, but it is possible to not get them.

You could always ask to change room types at check-in, if you do end up with non-connecting. Or even switch resorts. But you would be limited to whatever happens to be available.

You won't be guaranteed connecting rooms with your situation. Two adults and four kids means you can have one adult and two kids in each room.

However - your chances of getting connecting rooms are extremely good. And if you don't get connecting rooms, your chances of getting adjoining rooms is extremely good as well.
