Does anyone know if there are connecting rooms at the carib resort in the Martinique buildings? We are traveling with my cousin's family so if we can get rooms that connect we can trade off babysitting and have some "adult" disney fun at night.

Also, I'm a big "planner" and we are going in May but have already typed up a room request letter but now I'm reading that some people are calling the resort instead of faxing the request. Which way is better?? There are 8 of us going and we are really getting excited but have way to much time to wait yet!!

TIA

Christie

We are going this May and have been guaranteed at king connecting to a double. However, it is a handicapped accessible King so my daughter has a roll in shower for her wheelchair! The only reason it it guarantee is because of her disability and the fact that we had to make our ressies through special services. It is in Martinque Building 21 with a standard view. We actually wanted Trinidad South but they only had preferred views.

Good news is that they do have a number of connecting rooms in each building. Make sure that it is on your reservation when you book. If it's not, call Disney back and put it on there. They can not guarantee a connecting room nor can they guarantee a specfic area. It's one of those... hold your breath and cross your fingers!

Have fun and lots of Pixie Dust being sent your way!

i would def do both , I have heard many stories about faxes gone bad. I think calling would be best. Also make sure to call a few days ahead to make sure your requests are noted in the computer. You don't want problems during checkout.

I would call CRO and have it put in your reservation. More and more of the resorts are starting to ignore the faxes.

Also Martinique is a preferred location costing extra if you didn't already know that. There are connecting rooms in each building.

I did call the resort but she said to call 3 to 4 days before and it should be marked on our reservation. I then contacted Karen from M. Journey who we booked thru and she noted everything we wanted on our reservation and said to call them just to confirm right before we leave.

The package we got months ago was great (The kids stay and play free Disney Card package) and it only cost us 2300.00 for 4 of us for 10 days (room & passes) and this included a preferred view room!!!

I can't wait but now I feel a little better that I did get our requests in....we really need that connecting room so we can hit Pleasure Island etc after the kiddos are in bed!!

Thanks!! princess:
