Connecting rooms at POR?

Just wondering if there are true connecting rooms at POR or do you have 2 separate rooms. We are thinking about getting one room for the kids and one for us so we would need to have the door. Also is there anyway to get a king/2 double connecting room? And how do I book this, do I ask for them to be connected at the very beginning? Thanks for you help.

Yes, there are TRUE connecting rooms there that have the door between the two rooms. We stayed in one in 2000 with another family we were traveling with. The kids just loved going back and forth. If I'm remembering correctly, you must call it 'adjoining' rooms. That way you'll get the door. I remember having a problem with calling it connecting rather than adjoining. Yes, you do request this at the time you book your room and make sure to tell CRO that you will have children in the 2nd room. They always give preference to family's with children alone in a room first. (rather than the 2 family's in our party). You will love having the extra room too. Enjoy your trip.

We had connecting rooms in Magnolia Terrace in 1999. They were on the first floor and very close to a bus stop...short walk to both a quiet pool and Old Man Island.

We have had connecting rooms twice off season at POR. Our requests for location were never honored because we needed connecting rooms. I tell you this so that your heart will not be set on a particular area. Even off season you just get what they can give you where they can find connecting rooms available. Even though we did not get the location requested we could not have been more pleased.
