Connecting rooms at ASSports

Our trip starts Wednesday !! We have reservations for two rooms at ASSports, one for us and one for my SIL and nephews, and would really like them to be connecting. I thought when I made the reservations, I had the two reservations linked in some way, but I can't seem to find that information anywhere. We don't arrive until fairly late; 10ish by the time we check in. Should I be concerned about our ability to get connecting rooms? Is there anything I can do before we arrive to let them know about my request and to check if our reservations are connected? Does it matter if our reservations aren't connected? Ugh! This last minute stuff is driving me crazy

Call and have it noted on your reservation that you are traveling with family and would like your rooms to connect. Have your SIL call and do the same.

Unfortunately you won't know until you get to your rooms if they are connecting or not. Disney does pre-assign rooms a few days out, but it is not for sure your room until you are standing in it.
