connecting rooms and mousekeeping

We have requested connecting rooms for upcoming trip (keeping fingers crossed). Should we leave one envelope with the appropriate tip for mousekeeping or an envelope in each room?

Yes - a tip in both rooms. You won't know if the housekeeper is the same for both rooms (she/he probably will be). And the housekeeper won't know that you are all part of one big family. My in-laws like to have a connecting room with us (I hate it) and they have a different idea of tipping than we do. They just leave it on the last day, we do it every day.

We had two connecting rooms at CBR last month and left tips in each room. Initially we had two housekeepers until I asked for them both to be cleaned early and one said she would do both.
