We're heading back to the HRH next week, and just booked a pair of garden view rooms ($139/nt) for us and our children. Kids are 9 and 11 years old.

We've requested 'connecting,' which I understand they will try and get for us, but there's no guarantees...

I plan on calling the hotel the night before we leave and asking/requesting again that they try and block these off for us...but I'm concerned, as the hotel is very crowded right now.

For those who have requested connecting rooms in the past...have you been successful or not?

Thanks!

I'm sure that you could contact the hotel and talk to a manager maybe and tell them who your bringing with you and what you need. Well, thats what you'd think that they'd do - its worth a try though.

I have been successful and I think they will guarantee them for kids.

We are a family of six and request connecting rooms and didn't have a problem. (knock on wood for our next visit)

I was successful at RPR with just a request when I made the reservation. Since the 2nd room is for your kids, I would call and explain the situation so they can make note of that on your reservation. It certainly won't hurt.

When I made the ressie I explained that the 2nd room was for the kids...that's when I was told they "cannot guarantee it will be connecting."

They even made me list my wife as an occupant of the 2nd room along w/one of my sons, while I'm listed in the other!
