Connecting oceanview rooms?

Good morning! Like so many other people, we had our first Disney cruise booked for summer 2020. Then it was summer 2021. Now it's booked for summer 2022, but we have a lot of concerns about going (mostly the fear of an asymptomatic positive at the port, and the reduced experience in general on the ship). So now we're thinking about moving it one more year to 2023 (made the mistake of booking the 2022 trip as concierge... somehow back in early 2021 when we made this decision, we thought things would be largely back to normal by summer 2022... If we hadn't booked concierge, we would just cancel it). But now the kids will be another year older and bigger so we're thinking about doing connecting oceanview rooms instead. Any recommendations/tips on what category would work well for this? Space will be less of an issue since we'll be split up. Thanks!

I loved our connecting ocean views during our 13 night EBTA. We are a family of 5, so the options were fairly limited in terms of having only one room. In fact on the magic and wonder I think there’s only one type of room for 5 outside of concierge. Anyway we chose 9B on the magic. This put us roughly midship on deck 2. Super convenient for dinner, generally no wait for elevators if going to higher decks. We were under the hallway to Lumieres (I think) and did not hear any noise above us.

so worthwhile to have two rooms, two bathrooms, more space to spread out, etc.

Unfortunately, decks 1 and 2 are where the connecting oceanviews are and people who book on those decks are being moved because they are currently being used as a quarantine area. There was I time I would have said "but by 2023 I doubt that will still be in place" but this year has taught me not to make such predictions.
