Hi, I am planning my DS7 first trip to Disney and I have a question regarding the connect-flight by US airways.

I am looking for a flight from Toronto to Charlotte and connect another flight from Charlotte to Orlando. Since the first flight arrival at Charlotte on 8:32am and the second flight departure at 9:40am. There is only 1hour10mins for connect time. Do you think I will have enough time to make it?

Please advise and thanks for all your help!

We flew USAir last fall for the first time from Buffalo to Norfolk via Washington DC. No problems whatsoever. I try to stay away from connecting flights where you have less than an hour to get from one gate to the other, so by that standard, you sound alright. Here is a link that might help you decide.

We did a trip from Buffalo to Vegas via Atlanta on Delta and it was easy (we had only about an hour or so).If the connecting flight is in the same terminal,it will be easy,if you have to change terminals it might be a bit tight. I would ask this question on The Transportation Board. They will know for sure.

I like to print out a copy of the connecting flight airport's gate layout. This way we are not wandering around trying to figure out the layout and where our gate is - especially if we are short on time. I only had one concern where we were running to the gate (we looked like we were in the Amazing Race!) and that was with Delta. The good thing was because there were so many of us on the connecting flight who were going to Orlando, they called ahead and told them we were all coming and to wait. Good Luck!

We did Toronto to Charolette to Orlando last January.
Your luggage is ticketed at Toronto to land at Orlando so you don't need to worry about it.
As you have already cleared customs and security you won't have to do that again. We noticed people who had taken a ride on a golf cart to get to their flights.

Hi

We did that exact route in 2005 going down and back from Toronto to Orlando through Charlotte. At the time we had our DS5 and our DD1.5 :).

Our flight back from Orlando to Charlotte was late leaving us with about 20 minutes to switch planes. I ran from gate to gate literally and made it with my family not too far behind me.

Charlotte is a nice airport. It's small and easy to get from gate to gate. With 8:32 - 9:40 you'll be fine. Just find your gate when you get off the plane first. Tip: Go to the airports website and get a map so that you know exactly where to go.

Have a great trip.

We did Buffalo/Charlotte/Orlando in February no problem at all - Charlotte has a nice big airport that is very easy to get around in - US Air has all of its gates in the same area, so we only walked two gates down to get on our connecting flight. Is Buffalo just as easy for you as flying out of Toronto - it would be so much cheaper for you - we paid $180 ea. roundtrip, usually have flights $89 each way.
