As a Minnesotan who has attended 3 Superbowls and seen the Vikings lose all 3 of them, I have some experience in dealing with heart breaking defeat. While I wish it were the Vikings heading to Miami, you can bet I will be rooting for the Saints to whip those Colts. Your team has tons of talent, heart and a little bit of luck, and that's an unstoppable combination. Congratulations to a fantastic team on a great, hard fought victory!
P.S. I'll be cheering from my room at BWV!

Amen to that! Good luck...from a lifelong Minnesotan who tonight watched what was probably the only football game I've ever seen from beginning to end (actually most of the time I don't make it past 15 minutes...and that's not often, either). Can't say I'm a diehard fan but you gave us a good run for the money!;)

Both games were great today. I'd love to see New Orleans win, just for the mere fact that they haven't won yet.

Minnesota fans can feel good about having a great season, and at least you didn't lose 4 Superbowls in a row. :)

:thumbsup2 Thanks guys every one at work will be stoked today about the win last night. What a great game. It means alot to our Gulf Coast...we live 100 miles east of NOLA in MS and there was no one I mean No ONE on the roads yesterday afternoon getting ready for the game. We all agreed that the Super Bowl would be great but if we don't win.....at least we got there.

Thanks again for the support....

What's wrong with "those Colts"? Football should be like politics and religion - off limits!

Sorry, I meant this in fun, since it is only a game. But I do understand your feelings. Believe me, even though I am joking it really HURTS to have lost yesterday (at work we can't even talk about it, just too painful) and it seems like the Vikings will never overcome this jinx. So Mods, please feel free to close this thread. I never intended to make anyone feel bad.
Sorry again, kayla87.

No bad feelings here :thumbsup2 I just don't think it's DVC board appropriate. I was prepared when I visited the CB, it took me by surprise here.

WHO DAT!!! In the words of the Saints radio announcer Sunday night, "It's good! It's good! Saints win! Saints win! The Saints are going to the Super Bowl! Hell has frozen over!" :rotfl2:
As a Saints fan since day one (43 years) and a season ticket holder (36 years), this day has been a long time coming. As for this not being an appropriate DISboard topic, if it were not for this board and my screen name, I would not have met a fellow DVC owner from New York! I'm from Mississippi and I got the chance to meet a super nice fellow DISboard subscriber - silmarg - and his BIL at the game Sunday night as a direct result of these boards, postings and msgs back and forth. It really is a small world after all!

Yep, it is going to be an amazing ride. Told the DH after the local evening news that I sure do hope Sean Payton gets the fellows focused.

This Saints year has been so good for the state and the local communities. There is still much to be done in New Orleans after Katrina, nearly 4 1/2 years ago. This helps!!

It's a good thing our church had already cancelled evening mass on Superbowl Sunday!!

If my LSU Tigers couldn't play for the Nat'l Championship, the next best thing is for the Saints to win the Superbowl :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:

My first attempt at screen captures off the HDTV. For all the DVC Saints fans.

:) Not to highjack the thread but if any of you Saints fans live on the Gulf Coast and are interested in a DIS Meet. We have been having them on the Coast for over a year now....PM me and I will given you the info (There is about 8 of us who meet regularly)...next meeting 2/13/10...we think.

Thanks for the pics - pretty good

I know picky picky: #23 is Pierre Thomas, not Reggie Bush. Bush is #25.

The only good Colt is a Baltimore Colt. ;)

27 years ago, get over it, you need to start supporting your team, which by the way was "taken out of Cleveland" if I remember correctly.. Go Colts!!..smjj

Ditto Bill!

I am a New Yorker and have been a Saints fan for about 30 years. I have made it to the Big Easy several times (esp in the 1990s - before kids). While I hadnt been to NOLA in many years, I could not pass up the occasion to see my Saints in the dome in the NFC championship game. With all the lead changes, I think I went thru 9 lives that night!

It was the game of a lifetime, in a town that is very special at the loudest NFL stadium anywhere. The folks in the gulf coast are so welcoming... even to the Viking fans (my brother in law was in Vikings garb).

Yes, I am a Disney Parks lover and a DISer. I have met many fine people from the DIS including Bill (SAINTSTICKETS) who I met in the Dome on Sunday. I have been to Yankee games with other DISers and plan to meet one we met from DIS (and on our repo cruise in '08) at Yehaa Bob's next month at POR.
