Wow, it's Jersey Janice's last day (half day?) as a "working outside the home Mom" - where did the time go? I knew this day was coming but hard to believe it's here already!

Congratulations my friend. I know you are not actually leaving us, but I also know you won't be around quite as often after today and I am going to SERIOUSLY miss you!

You make me laugh
You make me giggle
You make me feel better when I'm in a funk
You are a sweet, kind, generous and compassionate person and one of the bright stars in my life this year.

You deserve this time for yourself. You are such a good and funny Mom, your DS is a lucky boy (not to mention your DH and now your little puppy as well.)

Janice, I wish you all the best. I feel so lucky to have you as my friend, thank you.

Thank you so much for the nice thread, ByTheSea. I appreciate your friendship very much, BTS and the rest of you.

You know, I was so happy about the prospect of not working anymore, but yesterday and now today, I'm feeling pretty choked up. I nearly broke down this morning when I drove the security gate and realized it would be the last time I'd do that.

Anyway, thanks again. Off to finish packing up, then I'm due in HR for my exit interview.

Janice, I know how you are feeling. I understand your mixed emotions. I am sure you are following your heart, but its still tough when you have to leave behind good friends.

I think Ive mentioned this before , but I was in the same boat as you. I had worked with some of my coworkers for over 10 years. Starting at age 16, I literally grew up with some of them. I could have continued working at a "new" job which would have required a lot of commuting time and it wasnt worth it to be away from my DS(then almost 2) for that long each day. So, I bit the bullet, refused the job, and decided to be a SAHM. It was scary and very sad at the end, but I have to say it has been well worth it, tough, but worth it. Im sure things will work out well for you too.
And please continue to stop in here as often as possible.

Good Luck Janice! I can't top what BTS said but you reached out to me when things I didn't understand were going on in my life and you offered your friendship. JJ, we've had a rough moment around this place but I'm glad we both had enough sense to talk it out and not carry any grudges . As I understand it, JJ now has a home PC on order, but it will be a few weeks!


But she does get online now and then so although we won't be seeing her quite as frequently, she'll still be around.
