I'm trying to ride all the dis rides this weekend.

I've seen some that knocked my socks off.

I've been taking notes on the things I see in the rooms that I like or don't like or that need some more thought -- no names or room titles just general notes for the future on how the theme - construction - length of ride - build teams interaction with guest - etc.

I actually rode a few today and EngineerTiger also went on some. Our consensus is that everyone did an amazing job. No favorites, we liked different things with different teams. As far as I'm concened, all teams are winners in that they gave it their all and worked well together.

What about the Scurvy Splashers!? If you haven't been on our ride, you definetly have to. It is great! It tells the theme of three brothers on a quest for treasure. They face pirates and many other things on the way! Hope everyone can make it out!

I love them all, but the three slide names that stand out for me are Friend Are Magical, Water Works, and Boogies (They know how I feel -- "Is this the green girl that likes all the slides?" )

But like I have said before, I highly enjoy them all and each one of them has something spectular. The judges are going to have a really hard time, I don't know how they will do it! (Oh yeah, gotta show my love to aztec and Pool Hoppers as well). But remember, I love them ALL!! Can't wait to ride more tomorrow, Team Boogie, look out because I'm coming back!!!

disney swingers...lol ok i know it is my team ride so i won't vote for my own but i can't pick one i over all the dis-ites ride... Scurvy- sweet idea, orginal (alot of my item are on that ride), Zetas - also sweet idea, i wish i was at disney (lol now just watch, the time i am not on there team they win), boogies- it's it's just Boogie-lious ( i think i left a couple on the ride)

I just want to say I would not want to be a judge for this, I think i have been on about 20 so far...maybe more, and thats a lot of riding can you imagine 200.

We did take a survey in our shallow end and you can mark us down for 9 votes for Yeti can't swim to save some voting space in the thread, joking of course. We love our ride and think it is a nice short presentation but again would not want to be one of the judges.

Some rides may be 6 rooms other (many) are closer to the 30 rooms. In each of these rides there are excellant rooms with very creative usage of items and color and ride pieces. To pick the winners after seeing so many good rooms. Sadly some great rides and rooms will not be in the finals. I wish they would pick a few individual rooms for awards as there are some thet are well deserved.

I think I have been on about half of the Dis rides and will catch more tomorrow, and I want take the opportunity to express that everyone has put alot of work into these rides and has done an excellant job putting together the best presentation they could. I've said it before about getting into staff games and I 'll say it about this If you survive getting through it you deserve a prize.

Personally, looking back over my list I think I rode about 45 or 46 rides yesterday. Yes, i was making up for lost time I didn't get while part of a team last time.
In trying to look at the rooms like a judge would, themeing, creativity with use of objects, color, etc... (oh and storyline), these are my top favs so far. And, yes at least one is a VMK forums room.
But, my picks so far are: (in no particular order, just by my list when I wrote them down)
Disney Swingers
Believe
Pirates on Holiday
WDW Pool Hopping (adored the piano pool)
Boogie
Friends are Magical
Aztec Splash
Frozen Gators (got a real laugh at that theme)
oh and a nod to Cactus Water Ranch, another laugh at theme
Scurvy Splashers (added today for good ship rooms and storyline)

I saw a lot of rides with individual rooms that were real great, but these are the ones that I saw (and man they must be some rich players)(snicker), that really hit all of the categories I listed above.
I did see a lot of rides where the rooms must have been done by all kids, but I think even they showed that these kids really wanted to play and do their best for their age.

And, I can't wait to see more rooms today. Especially to see if I can add to my personal list.
Though I did try to help one team out. There was someone in the room (naturally) when I went on one, but when I got back around to the beginning/end no one was there! oops! And, they had not gotten a flag yet. So I stayed around dancing until a member of the team showed up. Apparently one kid had to get off or got the dc, and the other hadn't shown up yet. She was definitely thankful I had stayed around to keep the room open for business. (and I was holding my breath that staff wouldn't come in and hold it against them if a member wasn't there)

I rode your yesterday, and I thought, "Hey, this is like a Hardy Boys adventure!" LOL! Their bedrooms were well done, but I didn't see a bed for Will...did I miss it?
