Congrats, V&A's

This week's podcast mentioned that Victoria and Albert's won the Tripadvisor traveler's choice award for 2nd best restaurant in the US, but they failed to mention that it also came in 18th in the world. I have no idea how Tripadvisor picks these winners (I definitely didn't get an email to vote) but being in the top 20 restaurants in the whole world is pretty awesome. Even the famed Per Se in NYC was beaten by V&A's.

I have to say that I'm a little surprised as I would have thought some of the other high end restaurants would have beaten them out, but if this truly is a community award then I can see V&A's getting a lot more visibility thanks to being at WDW.

Nobody ever thinks of Disney as having world-class dining, but V&A's has made a name for itself year over year and is always one of the first things I mention when talking about adult Disney vacations. I know I'm definitely looking forward to my dinner in a few weeks.


Why haven't John and Kevin done a review yet? Seriously, you guys.

A STUNNING Manager with VISION - Israel Pérez. He NEVER played by WDW Management Rules.... and LOOK at what this man has done .

Israel Pérez BUILT this incredible achievement by refusing to run a "pablum" Restaurant. He FOUGHT to make it great - and he succeeded. The man impresses me to the n'th degree. A classic Rebel WITH a cause, and by damn, he is going to show Disney HOW to run a Fine Dining Restaurant . He, in fact, has just DONE that.

1) The food quality is great, as one would expect.
2) But, the service is truly spectacular, and this pushes the place well above many competitors.
