Confusion on Points Booking Year

We have Aulani points for our June 1, 2014 to May 31, 2015 use year. I know I can bank them to the June 1, 2015 to May 31, 2016 use year.

The question I have is whether I need to use the points for a vacation that we take by May 31, 2016? We are planning a vacation for July 2016 and I was wondering if it would work as long as I use the points by May 31, 2016, even though the vacation is after that use year.

If you bank your June 2014 points into your June 2015 UY, those points are valid for stays from June 1, 2015 - May 31, 2016.

If you want to book a stay in July 2016, that trip falls within your June 2016 UY. You could use June 2016 points, June 2015 points that have been banked into your 2016 UY and could also borrow June 2017 points.

Yes, the banked points will be in your 2015 UY and will expire on June 1, 2016. You must complete travel with those pooints before May 31, 2016.
