Confusion about AP Discounts for Tours

I just spoke with a very unfriendly Cast Member on the tickets and reservations line. She said that there is no AP discount code for the Welcome to Disneyland tour, when the AP website and the DL website both say there's a 20% discount. I told her I'll have the concierge person at the DLH help me because I'm staying concierge on my trip.

What are some other experiences using an AP for a tour and how do you suggest I go about handling this situation. It's for my stay over the 4th of July weekend and I'd really like to reserve my spot early.
