Confused

I was wondering the same thing, just posted a question about it, Hope someone can clarify.

If you find out can you post on this thread as well? Sometimes Disboards is too big to navigate.
Thanks!

I just sent an email to Disney to check this out as the appetizer was deleted from the dining plan several years ago.

I don't have it with me, but I have a printout of this pdf from a couple months ago and I am pretty sure the appetizer was not listed. And if you notice, signature dining does not include it, plus the FAQ have a question about substituting a dessert for an appetizer and the answer is no. I wonder if someone updated the graphics or something recently and accidently posted an old page?
Hope you get an answer soon, would love to have the appetizer added back into the plan for when we go in July

I had to look at that about 3 times and sure enough it say appetizer included with TS lunch/dinner. That was a good catch. Unfortunately I have a feeling it is not correct and like the other poster said, a mistake. Only time will tell.

On second thought, maybe marketing considers the bread and water they bring you at the beginning of the meal an appetizer. :lmao:

I agree that it wasn't there earlier, but when I checked the PDF it had it on there. I just was wondering what the difference was between what was listed on the website and what was listed on the pdf. I am fine either way, just noticed the discrepancy and was curious.

I would consider it an error. There seems to be no logical reason for Disney to offer an appetizer with the regular plan and not with the deluxe plan.

I just checked the printout I made in January and noticed the following changes. The front page photo is now a dining room- previously it was Chef Goofy with a family, the table service meal page is reformatted in how the descriptions of meals are placed on the page, and private in-room dining section is also laid out differently.

So it seems that they changed up the formatting on the plan and messed up, pasting an old format from before the changes

It's a new brochure dated 3/14/12. It appears they have made some errors on it. Posters who call WDW-DINE are alternately being told that yes, the appetizer is now included on the regular plan, and no, it's an error in the brochure. So it can't be confirmed for sure via WDW-DINE.

The Mom's Panel advice answered my questions in regards to the appetizer question and they stated that the brochure is wrong and that the appetizer is not included. I guess they need to change the brochure or there will be some unhappy Disney Diners.

Hi Jeff! Sadly, the answer is no. The appetizer is included for guests age 3-9, but is excluded for adult guests. This has been the case since 2008. Although the PDF released from Disney seems to indicate that it is included, upons speaking to guest service representatives at (407) WDW-DINE, I was informed that it is only for the child guests. Hope this helps you plan your magical vacation! -Malanie

I wouldn't think the mom panel would know much more than those on the dining line and even they can't say for sure depending on who you speak to.

when i called up and said that they had it printed but since it wasnt on the DDP before i was wondering if it was a mistake i got told it was now included:confused3 Now im not new to the DDP and find this rather annoying but was told if we printed it out and had the proof then they would have to honour it!!!!

It's highly unlikely they would honor the appetizer language in your printout. Please refer to the language on the first page regarding Disney's ability to make changes to plan components. They clearly have covered themselves for situations where a typo or error of this sort occur. Please do not set yourself up for an unpleasant situation and realize that when you arrive at Disney, you will not be entitled to an adult appetizer on DDP.

Pretty sure in my post i stated I AM NOT NEW TO THE DDP!!!!! ive done Disney alot.
I am only passing on info that was said to me by a CM I personally could not care less if they included an app or not I am 5ft tall and only 8stone i couldnt even possibly eat the whole of an AMERICAN sized entree and dessert let alone a starter as well:rotfl2: And if anybody in my family wanted an App(its never happened) but if they did we would ER......pay for it NO DRAMA:rolleyes1
Just love it when people assume what others are going to do!

I am confused too! I am new to this, can the DDP only be used for lunch and dinner, what about breakfast? I was hoping to use one for breakfast and one for dinner? is this possible or do we need to pay for breakfast separately? Thanks.
