Hi I called at 7:30 this morning to make my 180 days out reservations..I have free dining in Sept (bounceback program). I could not believe I could not get all that I wanted on the first available day to call. Cm told me I could have called at 190 days out as an onsite guest. I never heard of it and it should be mentioned at least on the website. Does anyone know if this is true? Also I thought that I had to pay gratuities but she kept saying...gratuity included. Is that because most of my dining was at buffet style meals? I want to be sure I do not have to tip as I do not want to cheat the poor server.Thanks for any replies

Some CM's get confused to the rule. You can make your ADR's 180 days from the day of arrival and then up to 10 days of your vacation. Also, last I heard, appetizers and gratuities are no longer included in the dining plan. I would call back and speak to another CM to be sure.

Onsite guest are eligible to make their dining reservations at 180+10 days in advance. That mean if you call at exactly 180 days from your first reservation, you can make the next 10 days of dining as well.

However, the gratuities issue is not correct. On previous years the gratuities have been included. This year they have changed the DDP and removed the appetizers and GRATUITIES. A lot of people have been upset about that.

And I don't think the CM was telling you this because they were buffets. We always tip at buffets. Sometimes I think they work harder than the non-buffet ones. On our last vacation, the best server we had was at a buffet. He definitely earned more than 20%.

Gratuities ARE included in the price for Cinderella's Royal Table, the dinner shows, and in-room dining.

For anything else, the dining plans don't include gratuities.

Yes, and there are also a few others:

Private in room dining in the resorts
Pizza delivery
Hoop De Doo Musical
Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Disney's Spirit of the Aloha Dinner show

except for the Pizza Delivery, I believe the others on that list uses 2 DDP credits.

Otherwise, everything else the gratuities are not included.

I guess before I said that the gratuities issue was incorrect, I should have inquired whether any of the above were the ADRs you were making. If it's any of the ones I mentioned or CRT, then the gratuities ARE included. Sorry about the confusion. I don't do any of these, so it doesn't enter my mind.
