I recently made 2 reservations on line for friends. Printed off the confirmation sheet but when they went to pick up thier cars the desk would not honor the quote. Even though they had the documents to show budget said that this only guareenteed them a car and not the rate. Is this standard practice.? The jump in price was quite high. I also have a suv reserved for April with a discount code at a great rate but I am thinking of going back to Avis where we have had no problems in the last 2 years. Sorry I am a little nieve in the car rental department.
