We are driving down, so we will not have this problem. We are staying in Crescent Lakes. Unless you are staying on site, I would have to think that you will need a car. I think that Crescent Lakes is about 15 minutes from Disney I could be wrong!!!!!! I will just be HAPPY to be there!!!!!

If you don't rent a car how are you planning to get to disney from a house? Busses?? Cabs?? I think if your renting a house it would be cheaper/easier to rent a car. IMHO.

Most of the neighborhoods are close enough to Disney, but ANYTHING off Disney property is still 15-20 mins from the parks. Check out each area and see what suits you. Some of them are gated communities with pool/play areas and some are just a house in a neighborhood.

I agree. If you are staying offsite it would be much easier and probably cheaper with a car.

We have stayed in private villas at Formosa Gardens twice before & found it very convenient for all the parks, but you do need a car. The estate itself is stunning and some of the properties can only be described as mansions. We were at the AK within ten to fifteen minutes, with the other parks just a little longer to get to. I would strongly recommend this estate to anyone & would be going back there again, but we have decided to give AKL a try in July next year.
