Can someone help?

We are two adults and two children who want to go to IOA one day and US another day in May. Is our CHEAPEST option actually the 5 day bonus pass, buy two adults tix, get two tix free?

We do not care about expiration.

Is this right?

(sorry to be lazy -- I am actually sick in bed with a miserable virus as I type this and just not thinking clearly.)

thanks!

A one day/ one park ticket is around $63 plus tax. You would have to buy two of those to get 2 days. The 5 day online ticket is less.

That's what I thought. Unbelievable! Now we'll probably end up going all 5 days again. Once I think I'm out...they pull me back in!

Thanks Phamton.

We are two adults, with two kids and I got that buy two adults, get the kids free....5 day pass thing! I am SO happy. Cost just a little over $200 total for all four tickets. We aren't going until December, but I couldn't pass it up! We will hit each one one time in a row and still have three days in case we decide to go back again.

Just a reminder: they will expire on the 5th day after use so you can't save them.

Yup, know that. That is why we will hit US Monday and IOA on Tuesday. That gives us W, Th and Fr to go back if we want to.

If you get to each park about 30 minutes before opening and have some sort of touring plan, is it possible to do all of the attractions/show in one day (one day at each of the two parks).
We are also thinking about US on a Monday (full day) and then IOA on the Wednesday.
By buying the two days, get three days plus kids tickets free, that would give us Thursday and Friday to come back if we wanted to.

Thank you

We are are only going one day. It is 4 adults (who don't ride thrill rides due to neck problems) and two children (5yo and 2.5yo). I only want to buy the one day/one park ticket and then you get four more days free. Can I go to US and then use another days admission and go to IOA in the same day. I thought it said US OR IOA. We want to visit the kids/family areas in both parks in one day. Would it be just as cheap to get the 2day/2park pass for the adults and get the kids free? The 2/2 is $100 and the 1/1 is $69 for adults and $48 for DS5. I am sooo confused! :confused3 :worried:

There is no one day tickt that gives you 4 days free. There are only two ticket options for one day. There is a one day/one park which is not a hopper or a one day/two park which is a park hopper.

If you buy a one day/one park you can only go to one park during the day. You can upgrade that ticket to a two park for around $10.

don't know if you are aware of this but the price at the gate has increased.

if you want the one day ticket, go and buy them on line.
those prices have not increased.

and, you can print them out at home.

So if I buy a 1 park/1 day ticket, I can upgrade it to a 2 park/1 day at the gate? Can that original ticket be bought elsewhere (like from my local AAA) and still upgraded at the gate?

Normally, discounted tickets such as through AAA cost a little more to upgrade. If you buy it online through the Universal website, it will only cost around $10-$11 to upgrade at Guest Services. The AAA tickets can be upgraded also at Guest Services. Sometimes they are only $10-11 more to upgrade and other times they might be more. They scan the ticket and the computer tells them what the upgrade price would be. You would need to do it at Guest Service window either inside the park or at the Guest Service window outside the park. My suggestion would be to use the one day/one park ticket and if you find that you have some time at the end of the day to visit the other park, then just upgrade then. No point in upgrading unless you actually have the time to visit the second park.

Oh, that's great advice (about waiting to see if we have time to visit the other park) Phamton. You're right, we might not have time. We were last at IOA in 2001, but haven't been to USF since 99. Haven't been on MIB yet and want to try that.

The best US/IOA ticket IMO is $122 for adults and $114 for a child ticket - this includes the taxes. It is a 7 day stay and play plus pass which includes 7 straight days of IOA, US, City Walk, and Wet N Wild - unlimited entry. You can get at 7 day Stay N Play Plus Pass - the shipping price is kind of high but you pick them up for free.

or you could go to rci and buy the 7 day pass/with expiration in 14 days for $99. + tax
not sure if there are options on that one but it covers city walk and both parks

The Plus pass includes Wet N Wild - but the extra 5th ticket is not!!!

I have been searching and searching, and came across the deal that seems to be the cheapest, Buy 1 adult 2 day 2 park ticket pluss free 3 days and free child ticket... so your getting 2 tickets with 5 days for 2 parks for 99.00 plus tax.... it would cost more if i were to buy a 1 day or 2 day park ticket for both parks....

I will never use up the five days but i don't care. ... my Q is, can this be bought at the gate in US or online only? how much more is it to purchase it at the gate?

Also if i am to purchase the tickets for just my daughter and I , and we go one day to the parks, since there are 5 days to visit the parks, can I pass the tickets over to my husband so he can take a day with my daughter?????
