I have heard different things so I don't know which is right. Some people have said that if you buy an ap online you have to use it within 30 days, is this right? We bought one yesterday before the price changed and we arent going until October.

I've read that and my fiancee called and asked; they said that is correct. You might wanna call and ask a CM to make sure your AP still works when you go.

I didnt read anywhere when I bought it that it said that and we had one before but I dont remember how far in advance we bought it. Thanks for your response. I will try calling tomorrow.

There probably is an expiration date, but I don't think it is 30 days. I had a voucher and it was good for a year I think before it expired. I think worst case scenario you'd have to pay the difference in the price you paid and the current price for AP's if it was past the expiration date.

I'd still call in the AM to ease my mind and know for sure, but I think this is correct.

I believe that if you don't go within the 30 day time period they will start the 365 day clock after the 30th day. Therefore since you bought your AP's on Aug 3rd then your AP clock starts on Sept 3 2008 and expires on Sept 3 2009. Wow, you wasted over a months usage to save $10 per AP? :thumbsup2

I'm going in November with my wife. We did the math, and going to get an AP to get the additional discounts. This will probably be the only trip in the next year... but you never know what might happen of course.

When should we purchase the AP, and would we need to do that before booking the hotel room? We also want to take some tours... do we need the AP before we book them?

that would be fine with us ending sept 3 2009 because our second trip will be in the spring anyways.

Update:

I ordered my AP on August 2nd, and received it today by mail. It has a use by date of 11/3/08 so luckily we are going before that :) Hope this helps someone else with the same question!

Very good!

FWIW, a few months back someone noticed the expiration date on their husband's voucher had passed, and they either called or went there, and it was NO problem at all. No clock had started, it wasn't no good...they let them use the voucher.

Your AP should have a date on it which it says to redeem by.
I purchased mine in July of 2007 and it had a redeem date of January 2, 2008.
We did not use them until October of 2007.
I have read that you can redeem them after this date but you will have to pay the difference between the price it is on that day and the price you paid.
