for some reason, the use year keeps confusing me.if you have a march use year, and usually go in october, does that mean you can only start to book your home resort in march?that would be only 6 mos.out and you might have a hard time getting a ressie.
Use year determines when you get your annual allotment of points (first day of use year) and by when you must bank those points if you choose to bank them into the next year. Use year has nothing to do with when you can go (any time of year) or when you can call to reserve (always 11 months in advance at home resort, 7 at others). If you want to go in October to home resort, you can call in November the year before. And when you call you get to use those points to make the ressie that won't be issued until March because points you use are determined by date you will be there not date you call to reserve.
No, if you are booking your home resort, you book at 11 months out and if you are booking at another resort you book 7 months out. You don't have to wait until you get your points in March to make a reservation for October.
I booked at 11 months for our trip next month (booked in July of last year), using our banked points from October 2002, our 2003 points and we borrowed most of 2004.
