Vacation planned for March 13-20. For my FP+ selection, is it at midnight January 12th? Or 13th? Staying on property.

Thanks

We are at WDW starting March 14 and I have our 60 days out on the 13th at midnight, so you should be the 12th.

If you put 'fast pass date calculator' in Google a site should pop up to calculate dining & FP dates.

It can be a bit confusing, since the evening you want to stay up until midnight is actually the day BEFORE your 60-day mark.

For example, arriving in the mail today from WDW was a brochure announcing "You can start making your Disney FastPass+ selections on JANUARY 10, 2015." [We check in on March 11.]

However, January 9 is really the day I want to remember to stay up late, and so it's the 9th that has a big red circle around it on my calendar! :goodvibes

Sorry to jump in, but silly to start a new thread on same topic:)
For our midnight time frame, am I correct in thinking it's midnight EST?
So for here in Texas, my FP window actually would open up at 11:00pm the the night before my technical date. So my date is Jan 9th officially, at midnight EST, which puts it at Jan 8th 11:00pm CST? (As early as 9pm PST, for those on west coast?)

Correct. :thumbsup2

Yes, but don't panic if it doesn't work at exactly 1200 ET. I booked mine a few weeks ago and it was actually closer to 1am when it started working. But still got everything we needed.

Does there really seem to be much of an advantage over booking at Midnight vs waiting until 6:00am?

The answer really depends on when you are going and what you are interested in. I recently picked up 7DMT for the first week of Feb. at about 35 days out. In November of last year, I was lucky to get it at 60 days.

The two toughest to get are the meet & greet with Anna and Elsa and the 7 dwarfs mine train. If you don't want those, or if your group is small, or if you are very flexible with dates and times, it is much less important to book at midnight.

It comes down to whether you are really hung up on certain days, certain times, certain attractions. The more particular you are, you may want to stay up, otherwise daytime on your 60 day is fine.

Answers to FP FAQs like these can be found in the green link in my signature. The 12:00a or later openings are also addressed there, and are related to MK hours.

Thank you! I knew I've seen this posted, but couldn't find it! I was just about to ask about it. This should be made a sticky:) I actually need to sit and read through this now, I only have one more day until my FP selections.
