confused on dining plans...

can you tell i'm a newbie? i'm trying to plan a trip for feb 09 for a friend's wedding and i'm debating on whether or not to do the dining plan. can someone explain how it works? my parents swear by it and we used it last time we went but i wasn't planning that trip and don't know the in's and outs of it. please help!!

Click on the 2008 DDP FAQ above. The very first post will give you all of the basics and contains links to the various DDP brochures which give more detail.

If you previously used DDP prior to 1/1/2008, be advised that the plan radically changed on that date. It no longer includes either appetizers or gratuity with Table Service meals, so they effectively had a 25-30% price increase.

DDP might still work for you. I'd also take a good look at the other folks you're going to be hanging out with -- their eating plans may dictate yours...either making DDP impossible or an absolute necessity.
