Confused! Need your help.....

Saw another post about switching the reservation from disney to a AAA agent. We have a reservation in July that is room only booked through disney with a AAA discount. Were wanting to add on the DDP and park hopper passes but are aware that AAA and DDP won't go together through disney. Discovered in a reply from moderator "Trekker"(thanks Trekker) that you can have AAA agent take over your current reservation without cancelling it. Our question is do we need to add on the tickets and DDP as a package before transferring to AAA agent or transfer first as a room only and then add on DDP and park tickets. There is no availability at our resort for our dates so making a new ressie through AAA would not be possible.

You cannot add on tickets and DDP to a room only reservation. You must cancel the room only reservation and re-book it as a package.

Room only and package reservations go through different systems at Disney.

What I would do is get in touch with AAA and have them book the package you want. Once that is completed then contact Disney and have them cancel the room only reservation.
