Confused: Fantasmic show & Dining Plan

In the past, I've done the dining plan and got preferred seating at Fantasmic. I can't find anywhere if they are still doing this. Do you have to use one of your fastpass choices to do this now?

If you do the Fantasmic! Dinner Package, you don't need to use one of your FP+ selections for Fantasmic!

It's the Fantasmic! Dining Package. We use this every year and get great seats! And it doesn't take away a Fastpass selection!

You have to have booked a reservation at one of the qualifying restaurants for the Fantasmic dinner package. You can't just book a regular reservation at the restaurant and then ask for the tickets. The dinner package does not count against you for the FP+ count.

The F! Dining Pkg does not use a FP. You get a voucher for the special reserved section of the amphitheater. OR, if you choose not to do the F! Dining Package, you can get a FP for the show. OR you could do standby for the second show, if there is one.

The restaurants you can choose from are Mama Melrose (prix fixe for the fantasmic package includes appetizer entree and dessert) or Hollywood and Vine buffet - either of these is one credit on the dining plan. Hollywood Brown Derby is available for 2 DDP credits. As a PP said, you have to book it as a Fantasmic! package when you make the reservation.
