Confused- extra magic hours at animal Kingdom or scifi?

I was able to get sci-fi reservation recently but will have swap my days at animal kingdom.. only problem is I don’t get the advantage of extra magic hours at AK if I switched the day.. what is more worth- sci-fi or EMH at AK?

Pls advise, my fast reservation starts tomorrow so definitely need to decide??

Depending on what you are trying to accomplish as EMH, I may lean to that. Sci Fi food isn’t anything to write home about

Definitely EMH. You could probably walk up and get a seat at Sci-fi, and if you couldn't, it's not a huge loss. Good shakes and burgers, but not necessarily a "not-miss"!

I have been trying to reschedule Sci-Fi for weeks and haven’t been able to. The food isn’t great, but decent, however the atmosphere is really good. It was my son’s only request this trip. EMM are a mixed blessing. If you get to the park early (1 hour) you should be able to do FOP and Navi easily. A lot of people say the park is a lot busier on the EMM days though, I haven’t really found that to be the case but Kenny the Pirate will always recommend against it. I don’t know who is in your group, or if it is your only AK day. If it is your only day at AK, then I might pick that just to be able to take my time on the animal trails and see the shows (they are all good at AK though I have heard the new bird show isn’t great anymore).

Either way, I am sure you will have a great trip. Just pick one and don’t worry about what might have been!

OP glad it worked out for you to do both. I'm a big fan of Sci Fi (mostly for the atmosphere...the theming is incredible). It's been on my kids MUST DO list for the past 3 trips.

OP, glad it worked out. I will say that a lot of touring plans advise to avoid EMH because its the most crowded park, typically. Everyone flocks there to take advantage of EMH, so it essentially loses the advantage. We generally avoid EMH as well, because of this. So I would have recommended switching days for Sci Fi, if all you were losing was EMH at AK.
