Hi,

I'm having trouble understanding the Eurostar website - I want to book a train for Tuesday morning 4th Jan 2011. I think that's too far out to book now so I tried Tuesdays in Nov/Dec to get an idea of times and cost.

I want to go from DLP to London. Every time I get to the select a time screen I get this message:
There are no fares available for your outward journey for the date and time you have selected. You may wish to amend your journey details and search again. If you need help with train times please refer to our online timetables.

Can anyone help? Can I take the Eurostar from DLP to London? Where will it take me in London and is there a better way to go?

Thanks for your help.

It may be that it doesnt run on a Tuesday. In low season it doesnt run every day.

Normally you can get one which goes to St Pancras Station in London.

It may be you have to get an indirect one via Lille

this is cut and pasted form the eurostar website

'Travelling to Disney?

* Direct Eurostar trains from the UK to Disneyland® Paris leave at 0953 and leave from Disneyland® Paris to the UK at 1937 daily but these will not run on Tuesdays and Saturdays except during UK school holidays.
* Remember you can still travel to Disneyland® Paris via TGV with just one simple change in Lille, or travel to Paris and take the the regional RER train.

They dont run on Tuesdays direct thats why you are getting that message.

HTH

Thanks

Where are you finding the Traveling to Disney information on the Eurostar site?
I'm looking on eurostar dot om

I think I'll try to figure out the TGV

What is the most cost effective way to travel from DLP to London? It looks like the TGV will be close to $200 pp. Is that what I should expect or is there another way?

on the home page when you put in london & DLP in the form & to boxes a large yellow box appears below with the booking info I pasted above

I'm on the homepage and I put in Disneyland Resort in the From box and London in the To box. Then the date and # of travelers. The only yellow box I see is SEARCH and when I hit that I get the message I copied before.

I must be missing something but I'm not sure what that is.

we managed to go via lille for £44 each return.

maybe its worth calling them? alternatively, put your time of departure at 8am and return at 5pm and that should bring up the indirect train :)

I think it may be too early to book an indirect train. You can book direct trains up to 6 months in advance but the indirect trains are more like 3 months - I think.

We were able to rearrange our plans and now we'll be visiting DLP on Monday 3 Jan and taking the 7:30 pm Eurostar to London.

Now we just need to figure out timing. We'll have luggage either held at a hold (Kyriad looks promising) or at DLP - does any one have thoughts on which is safer?

What time would we need to leave the park to pick up luggage and make the train?

Thanks again

??? If it helps any - I was able to book a one way from DLP to London - the direct train on my last trip - Thursday evening train. I used the American version of the Eurostar web site but I wouldn't think it would make much difference. It wasn't expensive either.

Is the American version of Eurostar a totally different website or do you just click to see the info in English?

I think the first time I used the website (eurostar.com) it had an option for United States - after that it remembered my settings. The other English language options are United Kingdom and Belgium then it also lists French options. The website listed the prices in US Dollars other than that I can't imagine it would be any different. If you clear your eurostar cookie it might go back to giving you the other website options.
