Help, I am so confused.
We have a land/sea package booked for feb 19 - 26 through TA. Got a good price but it includes 7 day MYW passes that we will only be able to use 4 days).
Now I have been spending way too much time on the boards and am re-thinking my package. Plus we are actually arriving in WDW one day earlier on the 18th (booked one night hotel separately) and won't be able to get our MYW passes until the 19th because that is when the package begins.
Thinking I might want to book all separately and maybe an AP is the way to go. What kind of rates can I expect and will it be different for the BRP and AP?
You book BRP 120 day in advance and have to have an AP already, but have to wait to see if there are AP rates but don't have to have AP until you arrive, is that correct?
Am I working my brain too hard on this?
Thanks for the help !!!

Not trying to be critical but why would you buy a 7 day pass that you can only use 4 days of? I would definately check with your TA and have her reprice this for a 4 day pass. Then I would price everything out seperately to see if you're getting any real savings on the package vs buying seperate or if you need to buy tickets to get the land/sea package price (I'm not familiar with this and you might want to ask this question on the cruise board also).

When are you arriving on the 18th? I see you're coming from CA so it might not be worth it to have tickets for that day because of time or exhaustion from travel. But I don't know your schedule so it definately is better $$ and convenience wise to have your tickets that day to use for the whole trip instead of buying 1 day passes. Depending on the schedule might effect your decision on package vs buying seperate also.

Noone is sure how the AP rates are going to work if/when they come out. The best rate program may be setting the stage for a policy of having to purchase a voucher to get the rates. Speculation says that when those rates come out they probably won't be as good as best rate. Depending where you're staying the discount might not be enough to justify the extra cost of going from 4/5 day tickets to an AP especially for less then a week's stay, but you'd have to run those numbers to find out. Have you checked out AAA discounts and cost to join? That's another option.

Have fun deciding, Calie

thanks for the suggestions, Calie.

I didn't actually have a choice on the number of days for the pass. At the time we booked, I asked for a 4 or 5 day pass, but the TA came back and said that all of the land/sea now come with 7 day passes.

We are coming from CA, but actually leaving the 17th arriving the morning of the 18th. I am not sure if we will be too tired to go to the parks, but the kids sure don't think so.....
