confused as to where TiW card can be used

I saw a list on Disney's site (which I imagine is my best source of accurate info on this?) of eligible restaurants but it did not include Teppan Edo. I then saw a list on allears that did include Teppan Edo but did not include Le Cellier. And what about character meals? I plan on eating at both Teppan Edo and Le Cellier no matter what (and at least 1 character meal) but I just want to know in advance so I can do the math and make sure it will be worthwhile for me to get the card. If the places I plan to eat are not on the list then maybe I won't spend the $$ on the card.

Most of the restaraunts in World Showcase are not operated by Disney so Disney has to contract these restaurants to accept the TiW discount. The list should be updated frequently in the next month or so. It's the beginning of the year. It's a good bet that if the restaurant was on the list for 2008 they will be for 2009 as well. But that's not set in stone.

We had reservations for our Feb Trip at Teppen Edo and were planning on using TIW, I called to confirm that they accepted it, and they do not. We switched to Tutto Itlia.

But I believe that AP holders get 10% off Teppan Edo at lunch time (TiW card not needed)

Teppan Edo hasn't ever accepted TIW (formerly called Disney Dining Experience) so if you saw it on a list for TIW it wasn't correct.

Sometimes, guests get TIW and Disney Dining Plan confused. They do not have the same participating restaurant list. Teppan Edo and Yak & Yeti, for example, accept DDP but not TIW.
