We are going to Disney in June. I have read information about GAC for special needs, and I read that they are for non-obvious situations. That they aren't necessary for wheelchair users.

My 13 year old, former wish child has only used the GAC when we were there for her wish trip. She was not using a wheelchair then, but we are concerned she may require it this trip.

Does she need the GAC still??

It really depends on what her needs are. If she needs anything that isn't obvious from the fact that she's in the chair, a GAC might be a good idea. If all she needs is accessible lines and vehicles, she's probably fine without one.

If you find you need one, you can always go to GS and ask.

The normal and official response at Guest Relations related to a stamina and/or mobility issue is the recommendation that a wheelchair or ECV be rented.

If a person is using any mobility assistance device (chair, ECV, walker, cane) it is an automatic indication to all attraction CMs that there are special needs which have to be handled.

It is primarily the invisible (non-mobility-related) such as vision or hearing problems where the GAC is really necessary.
