Confused about waitlist

I booked a studio for January 6th through 10th. The only thing available for all my days was SSR. I took it and waitlisted for BCV which was available on the 7th and the 9th, so I just need the 6th and the 8th and I requested that they cancel the days at SSR as the days at BCV become available. (I hope that's understandable, I'm sort of a newbie so I don't know the technical term).

This morning I went to check my account but it shows I'm at SSR the whole time. Shouldn't it show SSR on the 6th and 8th and BCV on the 7th and 9th since they were available when I called?

I am a little confused as it appears to me that you took SSR for the whole time as you say you waitlisted 7th and 9th at BCV when in fact 6th and 8th sould have been waitlisted and 7th and 9th confirmed for BCV.

Since you said you would "take SSR" that's what you were booked for. It probably was a misunderstanding. You wanted SSR only for the days that BCV wasn't available. I would call MS and ask for a day by day waitlist, I think they can still do that. At worse, you would be checking into a resort every day, but hopefully you'll get a seamless ressie.

PS. That first day, you would have made 4 different reservations, one for each of the nights, if I understand what you want correctly.

I guess I'll have to call MS back and see what they say.
