Confused about Very Merry Christmas Party

We are visiting Disneyworld from November 15-20. Ive never been to one of Disney’s holiday parties before. I was planning for our Magic Kingdom day to be Wed the 16th, bc we are staying at a deluxe and it looks like Wednesdays are Magic Kingdom’s day for Extended Evening Hours for the 50th Celebration. Do the Christmas parades & Christmas themed fireworks only happen at the party? If we visit on that Wed, will the parades and fireworks be “regular” and not Christmas-themed? Im trying to decide if almost $500 is worth it to spend an additional/different evening at Magic Kingdom.

Pre-Covid, the week from Christmas to New Years the parade and fireworks were the holiday version during the day but otherwise you had to go to the party to see it. You could still get a good view of the holiday fireworks from multiple locations outside the park (depending on where you go you may miss the low shots and the projections). There are hd quality videos of the parade and fireworks online as well. So is it worth the money? That’s a subjective answer.

Yes, only during the parties. The Christmas decor will be up otherwise, but we enjoy the added ambiance of being inside the ticketed Christmas party. A little extra magic that is worth it for us.

We’ll be there the same week too! We went to the Xmas party last year but I know it’s different from MVMCP. Thinking we have to do the Xmas party again since we loved it so much last year

Last year we went in early November and paid for the party in order to see the Christmas parade. It poured off and on, and both runnings were cancelled. They did do the holiday fireworks show. And of course no refunds for bad weather.
