Confused about TSMM schedule @HS

Our HS day is Tuesday, May 8 and can't be changed. In addition, we can't get to the park until noon that day.

Is TSMM scheduled to be open that day but no FP available? So we would likely need to ride late in the day for shorter wait? Or will it be closed on that day?

My FP window begins on March 5 and I had TSMM on the FP schedule to reserve but it looks like that won't be possible so now wondering if it will be open at all. Thanks!

Same issue today. Our 60 day window opened and NO fastpasses available for the entire day. Haven't seen any information about it being closed, but that may be while they are working on the new entrance. There were none available any day our entire trip.

I doubt Disney would make an official announcement for something like this, but it's been posted on these boards and other blogs.

Yes but with no dates associated with it..
I wasted tons of time trying for every day of our trip. And I know I'm not the only one doing that

I wish they would say what happens after May 7. Will it be back to allowing fp or as some have speculated will it be closed for a while before opening Toy Story Land? Our first day in the parks will be May 6, but I wasn't planning on HS until Thursday, May 10. We may have to adjust our plans because we love that ride.

Had the discussion with my kids this morning about how it will be stby only during our trip and depending on the lines we may not be able to do it. “Whoa is us, it’s a must do, the best ride ever.” We can skip JTA this year to go at RD. “Nevermind” they say. Apparently nothing trumps JTA.

While it is uncertain whether FP will be back or not after May 7th I can't see the ride being closed from May 8th to June 30th. This ride is far too popular and DHS has far too little capacity right now. Taking it down completely would make DHS unvisitable during May and June a typically very busy time for WDW.
