On the web page it says 'up to total trip cost ($10,000) if you cancel due to sickness, injury, death and other covered reasons'. I can't find anything that explains 'other reasons'.

I have a cruise scheduled for the end of January and it looks like my job is transferring me around that time and I am not sure yet if they'll want me to go on vacation at that time.

Anyone know if that might be covered?

Well, I unearth this info (had to say what state I was in, so could vary)
Trip Cancellation must be due to one of the following reasons:
1. Your, a Family Member’s, a Traveling Companion’s, or a Traveling Companion’s Family Member’s death, that occurs before departure on Your Trip; or
2. Your, a Family Member’s, a Traveling Companion’s or a Traveling Companion’s Family Member’s covered Sickness or Injury, that: a) occurs before departure on Your Trip; b) requires Medical Treatment at the time of cancellation; and c) as certified by a Physician, results in medical restrictions so disabling as to cause Your Trip to be cancelled; or
3. for Other Covered Events, as defined; provided any such covered reason occur while coverage is in effect for You.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS: You must advise the Travel Supplier and Aon Affinity as soon as possible in the event of a claim. We will not pay benefits for any additional charges incurred that would not have been charged had You notified the Travel Supplier and Aon Affinity as soon as reasonably possible.

“Other Covered Events” means:
a. You or Your Traveling Companion being hijacked, quarantined, required to serve on a jury (notice of jury duty must be received after Your Effective Date), served with a court order to appear as a witness in a legal action in which You or Your Traveling Companion is not a party (except law enforcement officers); 05 LTP0041 00 06 13 Page 4 of 14 AARDSY01 Ver. 170110
b. Your or Your Traveling Companion’s primary place of residence is made Uninhabitable, by fire, flood, or other Natural Disaster, or vandalism;
c. You or Your Traveling Companion being directly involved in a traffic accident, substantiated by a police report, while en route to Your scheduled point of departure;
d. Inclement Weather that causes complete cessation of services of the Common Carrier on which You or Your Traveling Companion are scheduled to travel;
e. Your or Your Traveling Companion’s involuntary employment termination or layoff. Employment must have been with the same employer for at least 3 continuous years;
f. revocation of Your or Your Traveling Companion’s previously granted military leave or re-assignment, except war. Official written notice of the revocation or re-assignment by a supervisor or commanding officer of the appropriate branch of service will be required;
g. a cancellation of Your Trip if Your arrival on the Trip is delayed and causes You to lose 50% or more of the scheduled Trip duration due to the reasons covered under the Trip Delay Benefit.

In no event shall the amount reimbursed for Trip Cancellation and Trip Interruption exceed the lesser of the amount You prepaid for Your Trip or the Maximum Benefit Amount shown in the Schedule of Benefits.

Where in the world did you find that?

And thank you. Hmm, looks like my reason would not be covered then. Hope they let me go.

I hope I'm not muddying the waters here because I can't remember clearly, but we had Disney insurance for a cruise four years ago. I did a lot of research on it at the time. Isn't there a "cancel for any reason" component? Like if you cancel, you get so much toward a future trip as long as it's taken in the next year?? Something like that?? I specifically remember the Disney person I was talking to on the phone at the time saying, "For instance, you could just call us the week before your trip and say, 'I don't feel like taking this trip after all,' and then your insurance would kick in and you'd get credit for a future cruise." Of course, you sacrifice the amount you paid for insurance, but you're not totally out the cost of the trip...
Again, I hope I'm not misstating this! Just wanted to mention in case it was helpful... Maybe someone can shed some more light on what I wrote....

This is true, I believe ours is 75% of the cancellation fee towards a future cruise. Which is certainly better than nothing.

This was in the insurance booklet on the DCL website:
If you purchase the Vacation Protection Plan and cancel your vacation for any reason not covered by the insurance plan, Disney Cruise Line will credit 100% of the non-refundable cancellation fee toward a future Disney Cruise Line vacation.

100% I am pretty sure mine says 75%. Hmm.
