so today i "test-drove" making a dining ressie and it grays out dates beyond 180 days. how does it know it should give me 10 more days from which to choose?

i have a DVC rental thru david's - do i have to somehow link my confirmation number for the ADR to work at the 180+10?

TIA

Your resort reservation needs to be linked to the Disney website to use the +10 perk. When your reservation is linked to the website, it will automatically let you make ADRs for the +10 days on your 180 day.

That said, even if your reservation is linked to the website sometimes it doesn't work. I would be prepared to call at 7am eastern time if that is the case.

I'm also confused about this. I was going to make a new thread but this seems close enough and I don't want to clutter up the boards.

So we have to have a reservation for any Disney property hotel in order for this to work, right? And we're allowed to cancel that resort reservation and still keep the dining reservation? I am dying to get dinner for BOG on my 21st birthday, so I'm doing a lot of early prep work!

Thanks in advance!

ANYONE on the planet can book an ADR at 180 days out, you don't have to be staying at WDW in order to do so. If you want to be able to take advantage of the 180+10 days then you MUST be staying at a WDW resort property AND have your room ressie linked through your MDE so the system can confirm your arrival date. But keep in mind that the 180+10 does not equal 190 days for the first day. Your first day still must reach the 180 day mark, THEN you can begin making ADRs for that day and up to 10 additional days AFTERWARDS. So it is possible that when you hit 180 days out for Day #1 other guests have had up to 10 days to make ADRs for that date because their arrival dates were up to 10 days prior to yours.

The most flexibility is available for days at the end of your stay as fewer guests have had an opportunity to book ADRs for those dates cause the +10 days hasn't been the full amount yet. Makes sense? Good! :thumbsup2

Okay, so is it acceptable to make a hotel reservation in order to get the extra time in booking the ADR and then change the hotel reservation but keep the ADR? Or is that not allowed? I'm just trying really hard to get BOG on my 21st birthday... :confused3

I have my reservation booked and it still doesn't let me do the +10. Any issues with being on an iPad vs. desktop? Can't figure out why this is a problem! First date of arrival is 4/30/14.

I'm having the same issue! My reservation is not until 5/18/14. So I should be able to start making ADRs 11/19/13 for 5/18, 5/19, 5/20, 5/21 (the length of our stay). However, using MDE which had my resort reservation, says I can make ADRs for 5/18 on 11/19 and then have to wait until 11/20 to make ADRs for 5/19 and so on.

I hope that made sense! I know I could do it on the phone, but I think you have to wait until 7am, and I am trying to snag an early morning ADR for CRT on my last day of stay and online opens as 6am I think.

Hopefully someone can clear up this mystery. I actually emailed Disney days ago about the question and have not got any answer back yet.

My resort reservation starts May 2. Today is my 180 days. I can make adrs for May 2-9th. Won't let me make any on May 10th, which is only 9 days from check in. Was on hold 30 mins earlier this morning, now trying again. CM is having the same problem with BOG! :furious:

Edit: CM was able to get me the 2 adrs I needed. However, it seems like late times aren't available at several of the signature places. Latest I could get at BOG, Hollywood Brown Derby & CRT is 5:50. :confused3 Gonna have to move a few lunch times if we'll be eating dinner that early.

I guess if the CM is having the same problem, everyone would be in the same boat and not be able to make an ADR for BoG on that day. So the good news is no one can take it out from under you? Maybe? Trying to find a positive in your dilemma!

Thanks! She had to put me on hold to get help & was finally able to make the 2 adrs I needed. I think there are still a few issues tho. Several signature places have no times past 5:50 pm. Even Hollywood Brown Derby, which is almost always available. I wonder if everything is not fully loaded yet? I was looking at adrs for the week before my vacation the last few days. There were lots of openings for CRT, BOG, Brown Derby. I mean, I checked Friday! Now, NOTHING past 5:50, for any day of my stay! I'm gonna keep trying for better times in the next few days. I know things book quick, but not this quick.

Sorry to jump in, mine is linked is doesn't show me the 10 days +.

Mine either :(

So you logged into My Disney Experience, and then clicked "make dining reservations" and it still did not unlock farther days out? That blows! Nov 19th is my day I can make ADRs and am not going to be pleased if I have to wait until 7am to talk to someone. Bye Bye BOG!

Let us know if it starts working for you! Thanks!

Well I called up and they had plenty of availability for dinner at BOG.

We got everything we wanted, so you should be ok. If you're going when there are holidays on it might be a little more difficult, but we had no issues at all for our reservations from May 8th(+10)

I found it much better calling too because they helped us with knowing when extra magic hours were on each day to make the most of our pre-planning.

Plus she helped us book California Grill for the best time to see Wishes too! :)

Thanks so much, that is comforting! I am so glad you got what you wanted, even with having to wait and call. Now all you have to do is start marking off the next 180 days! :)

I am having the same issue! My 180+10 starts tomorrow and when I sign in it tells me I still have to wait an additional day. The weird thing is when I am signed out it says I tomorrow will be open for everyone! I am so frustrated!!! Help ME!! :confused3

Me neither. Just woke up at 5:30 and it's only showing me one day and its not allowing me to change my credit card info either. So frustrated with this new site.

Mine didn't show on the app...I had to log on the desktop website and click my itinerary to add your dining choices...I read that somewhere in this thread and it worked!
