Confused about Rivera Restrictions

Hi:

I've been hearing mixed messages about the Rivera. I know about the resale restriction but is there a restriction that if you buy Rivera as your home resort, that you can -or cannot- book at the 7-month window at a different DVC resort? I've heard both, so I'm not sure which is correct. Mind you, I own Saratoga, so it doesn't really affect me; but I was just curious.

If you buy Riviera resale you can only stay at Riviera, same applies for any future resort. If you buy L14 resale (after 1/19/19) you can only stay at L14 resorts, Riviera and future resorts are off limits. Direct purchasers have no restrictions.

If you buy Riviera from Disney, you can use the points acquired to reserve any DVC resort. You can reserve Riviera at 11 months out and others at 7, subject to availability. If you buy resale at Riviera the points purchased can be used to reserve only Riviera.
