Confused About Reserving Trips

We currently have 133 points available. We will get another 199 points in December. We are wait-listed for a 5 night stay at HHI. If we don't go to HHI, we will go to SSR in November.

Member services told my wife to borrow the points now and book the SSR trip and keep the 133 points in case our wait list comes thru.

However, that means if the HHI trip doesn't come thru, we have to bank the 133 and use them next year. I thought we could borrow the 130 we need for HHI if it comes thru and use the 133 for SSR. That way we don't have to worry about using the banked points next year.

Is there something I am not thinking of ?? Is there a way to use this year's points only for either trip without borrowing ??

ms is confused. you can't borrow points if you have the points there.

so go ahead and make the SSR reservation using your current points.

then and if HH comes in - MS can borrow.
