confused about renting

When I rent points from someone else, and I recieve the confirmation from the owners and Disney, will it have my name on the reservation, or the owners?

Have never rented points, but assume the reservation would need to be in your name for check-in.

I will wager that you rented points from someone who is as new to this as you are. You should contact him/her and make sure they change it right away and send you a new confirmation. You're right, it's not good. You wouldn't be able to check in.

I always suggest making sure you have a home and cell number of the person you rented from. Sometimes weird things happen with the computer. I had a renters name drop off (DVC had this problem a while ago) and the CM at the front desk called me to verify it was ok to change.

They can and should change it to your name, get DVC to send a new confirmation then send it to you. I wonder if they made the reservation before you finalized the deal, if so, another one is likely on the way. Just contact the member and I'm sure it's will be taken care of.
