Hi everyone,

I've read the photopass site, but am still unclear on exactly how it works.

I understand the first time you get a photopass pic taken, they give you a card, then you show the card anytime you get pics taken.

Now, if you pre-order the CD, do they just mail you the cd X days after you get home?

Or do you get a chance to edit the pics first?

And once you get the CD you can print the pics as many times as you'd like, right?

Cause I see on their site you can print pictures starting at $14.95... is that more if you only wanted 1-2 pictures? Or why would someone pay that price if they have the cd and can just print themselves at walmart :confused3

Also, do they mail to Canada?

How long does it take for the CD to come and when do they mail it?

Can you view your pics before the CD comes?

Thanks,

You can get the CD before you leave. I typically go to the Disney Shopping Village the morning of my flight home and buy the CD. Yes, you can see all of the pictures if you like, but you get them all anyway so you can pick and choose which ones to print after you get home. You get a release with the CD, allowing you to print as many of the pictures as you want.

Unless that's changed in the 3 years since I last went to Disney.

no you don't pick up the CD in disney...when you get home play around with the Pictures...u can do all kinds of things to them...add borders, crop, change to black and white etc... those will all come on your CD when you order it... the preorder only gives you credit on ur photopass account to purchase it when you get back. So make sure you add the borders and things you want before you have it sent to u! Its awesome! You'll love it!

Once you get home from your trip and enter in the numbers off of the photo pass cards that you have acquired while at Disney I think that it is 30 days from then? Then you can go in and edit all the pictures with different borders and such. Each time you edit a picture make sure to save it seperately. You can edit the same pic several time with different borders and such. They will put all of them on the CD even if it take more than one CD. Make sure that you take a picture of the back of any photo pass cards that you use while at Disney. That way if you lose the card, you still have the number and can retrieve your pics. You can enter more than one card to your account. So, don't freak out if you can't find your card that you have been using....just get a new one and you will have your pic to get the number off the other one. I hope that helps...

You do not have to get the CD before you leave Disney. I don't know how you would do that if you preorder. If you do buy the CD while at Disney you can't add any borders to the photos.

You have 30 days from the day the first photo was taken to claim the photos online. Once you claim them at home you have 30 days before your photos expire. You have to order your CD before your photos expire. You can purchase a 7 or 14 day extension.

so that means if I got this right, once I enter the Photopass number they give you at Disney those photos get downloaded into the CD I'm figuring this all happens automatically when I log in right? so once you play around with all the photos they get put onto the CD then you recieve it?:confused3 sorry so many questions :worship:

No, not quite automatically. You have to create a photopass account and then enter the photo pass card numbers into it. It will then pull all of those photos in for you to edit and do stuff to. You then have to go "purchase" you CD with the confirmation number from the pre-order email that you will get. It has been a few years since I have done this, so I might not have it exactly right. I hope that makes sense. You actually have to go thru the process of "ordering" it.

thank you so much I preordered the CD so I'm guessing when its time to get the CD after the photos have been edited I enter the CD order number:thumbsup2

Save the email you get that say "DO NOT DELETE THIS EMAIL" or something like that.

BUT...the last time I went to order the CD after I did the prepurchase it already knew that I had the preorder and I didn't have to enter anything.:thumbsup2

Thanks,

Yes they deliver to Canada.

It took about a week.

They also do ship to Canada. It takes 1-2wks to get here. Also, because it can take awhile to add borders, etc, I usually do 30-40 every night or 2. We went this past Jan. and we had over 350 photo pass pics, plus the ones I took. The borders also change, depending on the pic and where it was taken. Enjoy your trip!

Is there a DVC discount or other discount/codes for the PhotoPass?

Photopass CD is $149 (or $159 not sure), but there is a pre-purchased price of $99.

You buy it before you travel, and when you come home you simply edit your pics, and apply your pre-purchase promo code when checking out.
