Confused about PBH

I am sooo confused about PBH. I have a standard room booked for 3 nights in October...now the question is: Is there that much of a difference between a deluxe and a standard room? Second, which is the best location to request. I cannot for the life of me find a map of the hotel that I can understand. Which area is close to the main pool and the boat?

Standard Rooms in the West Wing are the best location, which is close to the boat dock.

The garden view room in the west wing all have views of the beach pool, which are very nice. Definitely a good request.

Is the standard room a garden view room?

Gardenview and Bayview are the same room type and layout the only difference is the view. Portofino room types are:

Gardenview
Bayview
Deluxe
Club Level (dlx rooms with club level offerings)
Suites (6 different types)

Portofino seems confusing at first, after you stay there it becomes clearer!

So, looking at the map I agree that the West Wing is where my family would prefer to be. What kinds of rooms are located there? Standard gardenview, standard bayview or deluxe?

Bay view, garden view, some deluxes, and suites.
