confused about new offer I got in the mail yesterday

I got a post card from Disney that gave me a 3 digit code for December. I know because its a 3 digit its not a pin code. My confusion it just says save on your next trip 12/1-12/12 then gives me the code. is this even a discount? I have never seen one that doesn't outline the exact discount. anyone know about this type of discount?

I got this also, plus numerous emails with the same code...which entitiles you to rack rate...

It's was such a tease! I was so excited then I was totally disappointed when she told me it was nothing just a marketing thing! I just refuse to book my trip until a deal comes out! Anything and ill take it !!

I rec'd a flyer via snail mail the other day also. I was so excited seeing the "game on"

Then my heart sank when I saw it was nothing ...

Just the same SX6 code I have been getting daily in my email offering me....

They know what they are doing. Do you know how many non planners will jump on that email or snail mail code and book at rack rate thinking they are getting a great deal?

Just want to add that you should always call to be sure. I've been fortunate to receive pin codes via snail mail & email for the last 4-5 years and all but the one I got last year were 3 digit codes and they were all R/O discounts. In fact, the one I received last year via snail mail had a long number and that one I almost threw out b/c I had been used to receiving the 3 digit codes so go figure!

All the 3 digit codes are what I call fishing codes. Marketing just wants to see if you will call and see what its all about. But at least you know your in the system.
