Confused about location for Aladdin/PTN

I've seen that the reserved area is "across from IASW." In the past, we've always watched parades from an elevated area across from IASW. There's a curb, then an elevated area with a railing in front, with another (higher) elevated area behind that. You can see the staging area for the parade from here; it's right at the beginning of the route. Is this now a reserved area?

Also, last time we were there, Aladdin's Oasis was a theater, not a restaurant. Is it in the same location?

Yes, that elevated area across from IASW is now the Aladdin reserved viewing area. And yes, it is in the same location. It's not really a restaurant, more like an eating area. If you choose to eat there, they bring you your boxed meal and drink, but that's it. There was just a thread about this -- I will find it and add the link.

Thank you -- I saw the thread, which was actually what confused me about the location, since I thought I'd still seen references recently to "grabbing a spot" to view the parades from that area. Didn't make a lot of sense if that area is now reserved.
