Confused about how to add someone to MDE FPs????

I am an AP and have an account on MDE. My friend does not have her own MDE account but is still attached to someone else who does have an account. I can't add my friend to my account to make FPs together because she is still connected to that other persons MDE account. What do I/she need to do so that she can be added to my account and I can create FPs for the both of us?
