Ok, here is the deal, we almost always stay on site so have FOTL or we go when it is very slow. Not this time for one of the days and I am leading around my inlaws and their whole side of the family around so I need help to make it a nice day. We are going to go the week of Thanksgiving, but was thinking the Tuesday before Tday or actually Tday itself. Anyway, without buying anything extra, how many Express passes can you get in a day? Is it like the Fastpass where you can get another one after the time starts for the first one? If I pick a later time to return how does that affect getting another pass? Is there a limit per day?

Can anyone tell me how to maximize this since it is painful enough not having the FOTL this time???? ( I really do feel pain over it!!!)

Thanks,
Jenn

The Tuesday before is an excellent choice, as the parks are still slow. Turkey Day is a little busier, but not by much.

As far as the free express, it works similar to the fastpass system. You scan your admission ticket in the express machine. Then you pick the attraction (if more than one are available) and then you choose your return time. When you do, the computer will show onscreen when you can get your next express pass. Essentially, you can get one every 1-2 hrs.

Will the express machines even be open that day? I went a couple weeks back and the express machines were closed. But, it wasn't necessary.

If you go the Tues. before T-Day, I don't think Express passes will be needed. (Even T-Day isn't too bad, but once the Friday hits, WATCH OUT! its crazy!)

That is a question that nobody knows the answer to. September is always dead, so the express is temporarily closed. It's a trial basis to see if express can be turned off during the slowest months-January, September, November, December

I was thinking of buying the express plus passes (I think that's what they're called - $15 for one park, $25 for both). We'll be at Universal on the 6th and 10th (Columbus Day). I was wondering if it's really necessary, especially on the 6th. On the other hand, we only have two partial days (those are our arrival and departure days) and I want to get on as many rides as possible.

Advice?

If I pick a time that is further out, what is the benefit? Is the next time you can get an Express based upon when you get the first one or when the window opens for the ride/time you pick?

Hope that makes sense : )

You can get another express in 2 hours or when the time frame for the express starts, whichever occurs first.

So if you get an express at 10:10 AM with a return time of 2:30 PM. You can get another pass at 12:10 PM.

If you get a pass at 10:10 AM with a return time of 11:00 AM, you can get another pass at 11:01 AM.

Thanks so much!!! Going to make use of those Express tickets then. Luckily have only 1 day of using that method and other we will stay on site and have the easy to figure out, wonderful FOTL!
