I am so confused.

We are staying off-site. HIFS to be exact. We are intending on using the HIFS shuttle, as we have in the past. We are not renting a car.

We have PHP passes for all 6 in our party. The Disney website says this:

With each Park Hopper PLUS, you also receive:
• The flexibility to go from Theme Park to Theme Park on the same day
• Convenient Walt Disney World® transportation -- monorails, ferryboats, and motor coaches

Now does this mean once we get ourselves to the parks, we have free use of the Disney transportation? Or is there a fee? What, if any, id do they request to prove you can ride the Dis. Trans.

Also, on a day we wish to go to DTD can we hop from the TTC to a hotel and go to DTD from there, or would it not be wise to so? We could simply take a cab from HIFS to DTD.

Also, one more question. I have PS at 'Ohana one night at 8 p.m. Are there cabs readily available at the hotels? I will need to use cab service to get back to HIFS as the latest shuttle that day is earlier than when we will be leaving the Poly.

Thanks everyone!!!!!!!!!!! :)

In a word...Yes. To all the questions. There are cabs available. Just ask at the Polynesian, they'll get you one. As far as the buses/monorail go, yes, you are free to use them. I have never seen the drivers ask anyone for IDs. Now, that's not to say they can't. But, you can use them since you have the PHP passes. Have fun.

Thanks so much! Now I wish I had known that last trip. We were taking the shuttle back to HIFS to get a new shuttle to a different park. OMG, we wasted so much time.

THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In case you are interested, there is a wonderful web site that tells you how exactly you can get from any point in Disney World to another. Just select your start and end points, and a list of possible transportation options within Walt Disney World will be listed, along with approximate travel times for each.

Go to www.ourlaughingplace.com and click on "Parks" or "Resorts" and then click on "Transportation Wizard" at the top of the screen.

It's a great little tool for figuring out how to get anywhere in the World.

The Disney transportation system is available to anyone with a multiple day admission media. So a park hopper would qualify you to use any of their modes of transportation.
