Confused about dining plan

Confused about the dining plan....how does it work exactly and is it worth it for my friend(we have never used it ourselves so I have no clue)
She has herself, her husband and a 6 yr old special needs son(autistic)
Would this plan be good for her? Why, why not?

The way the dining plan works is that you get 1 counter service meal, 1 sit down meal and one snack per day of your trip. You can use these meals anyway you like, ie. two sit down meals in one day, or 2 snacks in one day..they go ahead and give you all the meals and snacks at the beginning of your stay so you can use them however you like.
It's hard to say whether or not it would be a good deal for your friend. She needs to figure out how much $ she would spend on food a day and then compare to the price of the dining plan. We got the free dining plan for our trip and I would say it saved us at least $300 for our trip. Good luck.
