Confused about current Bounceback Promotion

The bounceback I booked last week was for 40% off villas or 30% off deluxe resorts. They did ask if I wanted to book a package or room only, and I told them room only, so I don't know if the discount would have applied to the room portion of the package. There was no mention of free dining in any of the flyers I saw regarding the bounceback. I was at BWV, so I don't know if there are different promotions being offered at different resorts either.

We got the bounceback on 1/19. We were able to apply it to two packages for two theme park view rooms at the Poly. Deluxe dining and park hoppers were not discounted. Also, there was no mention of free dining.

Just returned from Disney. We booked the bounceback for Beach Club 8/10 - 8/17. I was very excited to get 30% off our room. Unfortunately, I was only able to book room only.....should I call back and ask about package booking? They insisted it was for room only. We really wanted a package.

I just answered my own question.....I am on the phone with the bounceback offer phone number and just booked a package with dining! :cheer2:

If dining is included, is it discounted from the $37.99 or do you have to pay the full amount per night?

With the current bb promo it's just a discount off the room with full price for dining and tix. There was a bb promo this fall for free dining but it was limited to 8-30-9-27 check in dates, and with that promo it was full price for the room and tix and it had to be booked as a package. With the current promo it can be booked as room only or package, but in either case only the room rate is discounted.---Kathy

Yes, just the rack room rate is discounted as posted. I was just happy to be able to book a package with dining and still get the 30% discount on the room (for BC the discount is about $100 each night :cheer2: ).

Can someone explain to me bounceback? Is it something I have to do before I leave, while at Disney?:flower3:

The bounceback program can be booked while you are checked in at a Disney resort. It must be booked before you check out. There will either be a flier in your room with the phone number or check out the resort TV page to get the phone number or extension to call from your room. The discount applies to a future stay (30% off room rate for moderate and deluxes). It applies to specific dates, from memory there are some dates in April and then August 10 - September 27. Check out this link to Mousesavers.com, it gives more specifics

Good Luck. The program was still in effect this past Wednesday.....don't know when it will be discontinued.

Thanks so much!!:flower3:

I never received a flier in my room, but maybe thats because of the time we go. Were in WDW every July!! Does this mean that there are no bounceback for those dates?

Since we go every July almost the exact same date, it would nice to get a discount. Especially that I NEVER get one attached to my name, email or snail mail!!!!:confused3

We have been going to Disney for the past 7 years at least once a year, this is the first bounceback offer I have ever seen. I think there was also another type of bounceback offer this past fall for free dining. I think this current promotion may have started in December. I just booked it this past Wednesday.

I just checked that link to mousesavers and I am assuming I haven't seen it due to the time I am at WDW. Can I bounceback with any date for the following year that they offer. Or I am not there in bounceback month?

The dates listed on Mousesavers are the dates the discount applies to your future trip. i.e. I was at Disney this past week (the bounceback promotion was currently going on); during my stay we booked a trip for August 10 - 17, 2008. The 30% room discount will apply to my trip in August. The bounceback offer is a current offer for resort guests only and you must book your future trip before you checkout of your resort. So, if you have a trip planned in the very near future you may be able to book a bounce back trip. Hope this helps and was not too confusing :thumbsup2

Thanks again for all the help!! I totally get it now!!

I am going to WDW in July and hopefully they offer it!!!

:yay:

I know this is an old thread, but I'd never heard of a "bounceback" offer before and came here searching for answers. We're going in August this year. My question is: has Disney historically offered bouncebacks, or is this something new? I'm kind of hoping that it is offered while we are there August 26-September 4 so that we can book for next year. Does anyone know about the history of the offers?

So, I'm in the DISer in my family, my DH has not a clue to the WORLD he'll be introduced to on our trip in Sept (he went once as a kid- doesn't remember a thing -deprived child  ).

I will begin to slowly introduce the bounceback theory to him -only after we pay our balance- in preparation for a offer.

My question is, if booking room only for say 6 nights, is it just the $200 deposit/1 nights stay as it is with a regular ressie? And is that 100% refundable up to the 45 day mark?

If so, I think I'll be able to convince him it's a get deal!

MrsD; when you book a room only (never mind if it's bounce back or normal booking), you pay a first nights rate as a deposit. This can be less than the $200,- for a package (for instance when staying at a value) or more (for instance when staying at a suite at a deluxe). It is fully refundable until 5 days prior to check in and you don't have to pay of the remaining balance until check out of that 'room only trip'.

Be ware though; you pay a deposit per booking. So if you want to do a split-stay, you'll have to pay 2 deposits.
