So that post about the park opening has me confused. We have PS for the Minnie and Friend's breakfast at 8:40 on a day the park is scheduled to open at 9. The general consensus so far is that they haven't been opening Main Street up early before rope drop. So how is that supposed to work?

There will be one gate open specifically for people with a PS for breakfast. I'm not sure if it's clearly marked. You'll probably have to ask at the gates.

I think they're scheduling it for 8:40 on a Magic Morning day. Also, if they do take them before park opening, there will be a special turnstile for those with PS for the breakfast. You just go up to it, give them your name and they check it against a list before they let you in the park. We did this several times at WDW. I love breakfast before the park opens!

The gate is usually clearly marked with a stand up sign and a CM. The gate is usually all the way on the left side of the entrances. It's like you go through the park at one of the exit gates on the far left side.

interesting...maybe they do early PSs for character breakfasts?! cause i tried to make an PS for Carnation Cafe and the earliest PS was 10am because that was the time the park opens on that day...hmmmm.

They do earlier seatings for character meals, I've done them before. :) Like I said in your other post, you go to the gate and check in with the CM and they will escort you to your PS or someone else will escort you. Enjoy your breakfast!!

Thank you, thank you, thank you all :thumbsup2 I'm a total panic/stresser. Thankfully I have somewhere to turn!!

Do you have to have access to a MM to eat @ Minnie's during a MM? I was under this impression when I'd thought about making a PS during our visit last week on a MM when we did not have MM access. The CM I spoke with at Disney Dining told me this.

I think its different in DCA, with breakfast at Ariels Grotto. When we were waiting for the rope drop, they just announced that anyone with reservations, come to the front of the line and they were letting them in. I didnt see anyone checking to verify whether or not people actually had reservations. Kinda lame...who knows how many people just fibbed to get past the rope. :confused3

I'm not really sure. Our PS is on a non-MM day (Monday) so it didn't apply/come up when we made the PS.

Our PS was on a MM day and we didn't have access that day. They don't turn you away for an early PS just because you don't have MM.

I'm not sure about this, I would imagine that you could make a PS for 15 min. before park opening but I don't know, we have APs so we never get MM but we also rarely get up that early to get into the parks either. LOL We usually do our PSs for M&Fs around 9:30-10:30, we like to eat a little later in the day. :)

When we did Ariel's Grotto for breakfast early they did have a CM with a clipboard and we did get checked in and told to "follow the CMs directions" to get to AG for our PS. We had to follow a certain path to get there, much longer around but that way the CMs could monitor where you actually went.....
